Vinyasa Flow and Power Yoga

Combining breathe with movement to clear the mind and invigorate the body

Tailored classes to the group, either teaching slow flow (typically holding postures for 4-5 breathes before flowing into the next posture) or standard flow (1-3 breathes per pose), which is a bit faster and can be more of a cardio workout as well.

Students are guided through each posture ensuring all levels are welcome and able to participate. The benefits of doing this practice are huge, from releasing stress and anxiety, increasing flexibility and mobility (extremely important when building strength) to creating a meditative state whilst practicing. Paired with yin yoga, practice both and you have a perfect balance of yin and yang to stimulate your nervous systems and calm your mind.
Power yoga is very much working on core strength, balance poses and building stamina, using vinyasa style flows to increase wrist, arm, ankle and leg strength whilst breathing and moving in a safe yet always interesting way this practice is an all body workout.

Yin Yoga

getting into the connective tissues to gradually build flexibility and resilience

Yin yoga invites us to slow down and immerse ourselves in stillness, which can be challenging for those that are busy and living life at a fast pace!

This practice enables us to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and involves holding the postures from 3-5 minutes in a sustainable way using gravity, time and our breath to allow us to get deep into the fascia (web like connective tissue that envelopes our vital organs, muscles, nerves and tendons). If you imagine this web to be like a sponge that has been left to dry so it has no spring or bend in it; yin yoga lengthens, rehydrates and releases stuck points to enable greater flexibility, mobility and suppleness.

Your health and well-being when attending any yoga class:
